Who would say that memes are not fun? Last decade has witnessed an explosion in the Internet Meme culture, and most if not all of us have had indulgent experience with memes of all sorts. We have laughed at, frowned up and sometimes cringed, looking at many viral meme materials. We have seen picturised memes, short clips and gif images going viral within weeks and disappearing before the next big meme floats on our screen. What if we could use memes to teach our kids (and especially teenagers) the basic concepts of science, economics, history and culture? A platform where the users create and share educational memes would be fun to use, and it would help our tech-savvy kids to grasp easily the concepts we are trying to deliver. Memes, by their nature, are catchy and flashy. If we can effectively tap in the potential, it can transform the way we teach and learn. Basically, such a platform would be a go-to place for teachers and educators. Memes can come handy to explain some basic concepts, especially when the students seem to be bored and disoriented. Using memes will hence refresh them and attract their attention towards the course material which in turn helps the teacher/educator deliver more. For example, if you have to explain to the kids what a hydrogen bond is, you can use a meme like this:
If taken seriously and curated properly, this idea can change the whole paradigm of education of our era.

Memes are very popular these days; they are relatable, funny, and exciting! It would be a new way to engage with students in a funny but educational kind of way. A lot of teachers have already been relying on memes for their online lessons to make the classes more interesting. Also, some people learn better with visual learning styles so using memes would be really helpful, especially for visual learners. Having a platform where the teachers can find the relevant memes for their subject would be great! Perhaps the memes could be organized into different subject areas to make them easier to find.

The bumbling biochemist comes to mind. It's not strictly memes but she is doing a pretty good job of educating through short pictorials https://www.instagram.com/thebumblingbiochemist/ and https://thebumblingbiochemist.com/lets-talk-science/365-days-of-science/
