An app where people can find private land to park and sleep in their cars, as long as they help maintain the surrounding area.
In many countries, it's illegal to sleep in a car unless people pay to sleep in a camp or it's private property, and permission is given by the owner. While I understand the rule aims to prevent chaos, I think it sucks.
This idea lets the locals temporarily share the land with passersby and they can reciprocate to keep the scheme going.
A geolocation app that shows spots on the map where the owner gives permission to park and sleep with no questions asked.
If the land is suitable, the owner can let people camp in their tents, park a mobile home, etc.
The owner can add a note in the app that ask the visitors to:
Help around the area. They can be specific. For example: "I'd appreciate it if you can help keep the area clean and trimmed. The hand tools are in the shed (photo of the shed provided). If we all do a little, the are will be nice for everyone that comes around in the future."
Donate a few bucks to the local animal shelter on the way out.
"Write me a postcard when you get to where you're going."
"Just enjoy."
etc.
The owner sets a maximum number of days in a month the same person can sleep over.
The owner can list their property on the app only upon providing proof of ownership and a selfie holding up their ID with the name matching the ownership paper.
