Create small gardens of scented plants (herbs, flowers etc). Gardens can be in pots for urban areas.
Use different textured materials (not just smooth, cold metal) for surfaces like handrails.

Great! The lighting at such places could be limited and could be used only in case of emergencies. Even in gardens, people can be made to wear a blindfold so that the visually impaired do not feel selectively challenged.

A service that would curate stand-up comedy for non-visual bits. Not filled with miming or "he looked like X" bits but more abstract or universal comedy. There's a blind guy in Serbia doing stand up comedy so this might draw more people from the visually impaired community to take it on too.
Just audio comedy albums are already a thing but are dying out because it's so cheaper to film now than in the past. Also, some of them do talk about visual things that most people can relate to despite the non-visual medium, so sorting is still needed.

A button on walking sticks to make a lightsaber sound effect would be fun.
