Hello I am designing a website for a backend microsoft specialist but want to see how you would go about finding a freelance backend developer and what would you expect to see if you need to hire one. all your comments are welcome.
keep in mind things like : style, photography, techniek, and not use cv's or hireing platforms.

for those how dont know what a backend developer is just google it and you wil see my problem.

I need to get 1 person on to top rankingspots.

Hi Riesch T-huis, welcome 🖖
While this doesn't seem like a brainstormable problem I would still like to help. Here are my suggestions:

- post a job with detailed requirements on upwork.com, peopleperhour.com, freelancer.com, or even fiverr.com. People will apply and provide past references so that you can get a better feel of their skills.
- post a job offer on a "light post" near a local university where student programmers would frequently be found
- post a fb post "does anyone know a local good programer <description>" and have your friends share or suggest someone
- use fb paid advertising to target people within a radius from your location who are interested in node.js, C++, java, python or your backend language of preference

It's much easier to work with a local guy than someone remote

Darko Savic Thanks for your response but what would you use if its to be more like a portfoliosite for a backend developer what would you look for on the site.

Riesch T-huis am I understanding correctly that you are not actually trying to find a developer but instead are creating a platform where others could find developers and developers would find work?

In that case, people who are looking to hire could come up with short test projects (and pay for the freelancer's time even though it's just a test). A suitable developer should be able to complete the test within an hour. Multiple tests = multiple hours paid.

Darko Savic no Im not creating a platform but just a site for 1 person and that makes it more difficult

Riesch T-huis in that case the problem is too narrow/specific. A community of developers would be more suitable to give expert advice on this. For example stackoverflow would be ideal
