Bounties attract serious brainpower to the challenge.

Come up with a solution reliably preventing caries. In fact, it is pandemic in civilized countries, which brings pharma and medical equipment business big and recurring profits on creating materials and tools for dentists and remedies for partly reducing the problem (tooth pastes and brushes, mouthwash, etc.), while most of people spend money and time reguarly visiting dentists to fix tooth problems.
I have a guess, the solution is somehow connected with providing constant and high local immunity in teeth not allowing carious bacteria to live and proliferate. Tooth brushing and paste does not solve but only reduce the problem, because it only decreases the amount of bacteria outside the teeth, but they do not disappear anyway. Under low immunity, bacteria proliferate anyway and eat the dental tissue. Also, I suppose, some bacteria may go from blood and limpha.
What could help radically?

Find and isolate the bacteriophage viruses that target the usual pathogen bacteria of the mouth. Use the bacteriophages to eradicate the pathogen species. Seed the mouth with beneficial bacteria that have been engineered to kill and outcompete the pathogen species. Voila, no more dentist. This idea is described here.

So, your idea is that caries is a consequence of disbacteriosis of the mouth... curing it and supporting the right microbiocenosis in mouth, no caries will survive... interesting concept.

Are you sure caries is only because of bacteria outside of teeth? What about limpha and blood?
