Imagine an app/function which is designed to play the user music that they'd enjoy continuously. It would act like a super-personalized automatic Dj always hitting your music taste of the moment. The system could either select and mix recorded songs or create music live matching it to the user's momentary taste or both.  
How would you approach making such a system?

There is a company that makes a neurofeedback technology for headphones, the data from that could be the indicator for musical preference to the algorythm instead of the usual thumbs-up/thumbs-down

The kind of music we like can be linked to what kind of personality we have. In this podcast, Susan Cain explains how the kind of music introverts find relatable is completely different from the music liked by extroverts.

Hence, if somehow the AI system can identify the level of introversion/extroversion of the individualdynamically in  day to day basis, that could be used for sourcing appropriate music for the moment.

Similarly how AI improves in playing various games against itself or a different AI, it can improve in selecting the right music for the moment for a particular person by making "moves" with certain songs/melodies. The idea is described in detail here.
