The goal of this session is to come up with some non-standard use case scenarios where Polyurea can excel. Maybe some of these ideas could be turned into business opportunities (products/services).
What is Polyurea
Polyurea is an (old) advancement of polymer chemistry. It's a 2-component system that cures within 10 seconds, is resistant to corrosives, has excellent adhesion and abrasion qualities. As a spray-applied coating, it can be put down and used almost immediately. With 98% solids, polyurea is 4x stronger and 98% more flexible than epoxy. It was invented in the early 1980s when a less moisture-sensitive form of polyurethane was desired.
Here is a demonstration video showcasing its strength. Some of the notable exceptional physical properties are high hardness, flexibility, tear strength, tensile strength, chemical, and water resistance. Another video shows a polyurea-coated watermelon dropped from a height of 45 meters. Here's a brief description from an expert.
Polyurea is generally used for:
waterproofing of flat roofs, swimming pools, water storage tanks, etc
protective coating for concrete, metal, cars, machines, etc
Polyurea application requires specialized equipment that ranges from 6000 - 30.000 USD and requires training to operate. The same equipment can be used for polyurethane insulation spraying.
Can we come up with some out-of-the-box type of use case scenarios where polyurea would be a perfect choice?

Century bob versys doll (featured below) costs about 750 EUR in Europe. It gets destroyed fairly easily.
DIY punching opponent sprayed with Polyurea
I propose welding an opponent's skeleton out of steel pipes, then wrapping them with either:
geotextile
polyurethane foam
any textile
Then finishing it all off by spraying polyurea over it. Voila, an indestructable opponent for martial arts training.
I will describe an alternative to this as an independent idea.

It's probably bad for the business to produce indestructible dolls, that's why they don't do it :D Steel frame sounds a little harsh. I don't have experience with this, but wouldn't it be too hard even when wrapped up in layers of soft materials?

Povilas S The toughness should be made to mimic a human being. There is steel inside a sofa, but if you jump on it, it's still soft. The steel functions as a skeleton that holds everything in the desired shape.

It was quite expensive. Within a few months of sporadic and light use, I broke his leg and tore the skin on multiple places. It's safe to say that I didn't get my money's worth and wouldn't buy it again. That's why I'm trying to create an indestructible sparring doll.
Having disappointed customers is equally bad for business. Or worse - there angry support requests, refund requests, cost of servicing within warranty.

Would it be flexible enough to serve as clothing? If so it could be great for any safety pads, protective clothing or even to keep you dry. I'm just imagining that spraying, for instance, a jacket, would reduce its mobility?
