An application where you can swipe through people's posters and quickly choose the ones you are interested in reading in detail. If you get a match (person swipes your poster too), you get an instant notification and can chat.
Conferences are great places to find partners, share your work, get feedback and talk to people about common topics. However,
if the number of posters is too big (at the last conference where I went there were more than 900 posters in 2 days), you will not have time to check them all and see what you are interested in
you will miss reading and talking to someone because you lost too much time roaming through the room full of posters
your legs start to hurt so you rather go to grab a coffee
sometimes it takes time to decipher what the poster is about, because it's written poorly
sometimes people are not there for you to ask them questions, so you never ask than anthing
An application where you sign up, upload your poster, abstract and write a short (200 characters) description. You also add up to 10 keywords and your data (names, working group, institution, affiliations).
You start swiping posters like on Tinder. You can zoom in poster, read short description or author information. If you want to read more, you scroll to abstract. You can also add filters to show posters only from specific institution, author or with keywords you choose. All posters you like go to "liked" folder so you can find them later. At the conference, you simply open your "liked" folder, check where these posters are and go and ask author some questions. If you get a match (a person likes your poster, too), you can have an instant chat.
