An app that tells you about unusual cultural customs and traditions related to what you type on your phone. You grant the app permission to access your keyboard/history. It widens your cultural horizons with bits of interesting info.

Learn interesting facts about different cultures. Dig deeper into those that you find fascinating.
How it works
You grant the app permission to access your phone's keyboard history. It thus sees what you are typing throughout the phone. The app uses GPT3 to "understand" the context of what you are saying.
The app is an encyclopedia of habits, customs, and traditions from every nation/community/tribe. When it detects your words about something related from it's database, it adds a notification to your phone "Did you know..." If possible it links to an educational video or a wikipedia page that goes in depth on the specific custom/tradition.
People can also submit for review their local traditions so that the app's database can grow richer.

The app detects your location (or you select a location) and the traditions and customs of the area are presented. This feature can be an add-on to the main app, to present more location-specific results.
Traditions are specific to a whole country but also villages, cities, or regions within one country. They are categorized into different groups: gastronomy, traditions, customs, behavior, linguistics (local dialect or just words). You can select what interests you the most.
It will help people dive deeper into the local culture of places they visit, in their own country or abroad.

I can see it being useful also to people looking for social and hobby events. If I'm googling books, I'd love for the app to notify me that my favourite author is in town, hosting a book launch.
Actually, your idea has inspired me to think of a business platform that notifies you of events based on your searches. It matches your searches to potential interests and events happening in your area. It can be a newsletter sent to you, and the business would make money from advertising, which the people hosting the events would pay.
