A repository for memes that are based on incorrect information. On each page, there would be a meme with a flawed message, accompanied by an explanation of why it is flawed, and possibly one or more corrected memes.
A meme made by a person who was wrong about the facts and the meme reflects that error. The creator could have been biased or just had the wrong information, beliefs, etc. Such memes could be cool/clever/funny - which is what makes them dangerous/shared. They make misinformation go viral.
A picture tells a thousand words, a meme that goes viral tells those words a million times.
Memes are a modern version of folk wisdom. Wrong wisdom spreads stupidity. It does a lot of damage to society.
The website/repository would have Wikipedia-like moderation system where editors keep each other in check. They should make sure that biases, logical fallacies, political correctness, or wokeness doesn't affect decisions.
Only memes that are wrong can be found on the website. Each meme gets a dedicated page that contains:
the wrong meme
an explanation on why it is wrong
followed by one or more memes that convey the right message on the subject
Potential to spread the message
A typical page on such a repository would have a higher viral potential than just the meme alone because:
the wrong meme itself motivates people that agree with it to share it
the fact that it's wrong motivates people that don't agree with it to share it
those who don't care about memes might share them in an attempt to help others become less wrong
