This idea is really pretty simple, and I can't believe that I haven't been able to find something like this yet.

Notebook, financial management, schedule, diary and personal assistant apps already exist, but none of them is really equipped to help you organize thoughts and ideas.

The app simply needs to be able to accept a number of inputs: Notes, voice recordings, photos, videos and links.
Every time you add information it should prompt you to categorize or label it. The available categories will be customizable, but I imagine them including things like "work", "admin", "groceries", "family", "project 1", "ideas" and similar themes.

If a thought occurs to a user he/she simply records it and categorizes it appropriately.

You can then go back later and revisit the thoughts according to the category they are stored in, and the app could even compile summaries of the day's thoughts that you can check in the evening to make sure you got to everything and allow you to ponder some of the thoughts as you go to sleep.

I realize the idea is pretty much a diary or reminder, but I have yet to find one that allows you categorize thoughts easily, rather, they tend to store thoughts chronologically. On a notepad, you might create a note for a category and ideas to it, but I have not found any notepad that allows anything other than text input. .

Currently, I have a whatsapp group with no other members, so I can send links and photos and messages to myself. This works, but the information is also only organized by date. It would be nice to separate the ideas.to

"Mymind" and similar apps

Mymind is an app that does something very similar. You can save notes and various different digital items (images, websites, etc.) there while you browse the web and AI sorts everything for you automatically, in a convenient-to-find manner. If that's not really what you envision, perhaps a little extension could match your idea well:)

Maintain a relationship between different ideas

I like the idea. I think it would help if the app could also establish a relationship between two different thoughts/ ideas.

It could be automated by simply calculating the percentage of words between two thoughts that match. That will give a score (relationship value) determining the relationship between the two thoughts. Common words like "and" and "the" could be easily omitted from the analysis. Such filtering has become standard by now. This is a very crude relationship but a relationship, nonetheless. While presenting the summary to you at the end of the day, these related thoughts could be presented, too. The user may come up with something amazing by thinking of these related ideas.

Along with categorization, there should also be relationship value that the user needs to set while saving a new thought. This is the manual version of establishing a relationship between two thoughts. If the user thinks that the idea is similar to another past idea, they may set a higher relationship value (between 0 and 10, 10 indicating that the two ideas are closely associated or even dependent).

The app should be able to present the ideas as a network with nodes being the ideas and links being the relationships between the ideas. All ideas under a tag will be automatically linked. The higher the relationship value between two ideas, the thicker the line linking the two ideas would be.

Can brainstorming.com do that?

Can brainstorming.com be used to do just that? It already has tags and timestamps for every idea posted. It is like a collective (of all users) megabrain right now. Another extension of it could be a personal idea organizer in the profile section. It will separate your ideas using time and tags.

The difficult part would be to summarize the thoughts and present them to you to ponder.

On several occasions, I tried to get started with Notion or Roam Research. It's my understanding that people use them for similar purposes as you describe above.
