This idea is inspired by this idea for An interview rig that is mailed to the guest in order to grab high-quality audio/video from multiple angles.
A delivery service that sends all the necessary ingredients and equipment to your house to make a certain meal.
Why?
There are three reasons that this would be a good service:
  1. It will give customers the opportunity to create meals that they might not have been otherwise able to.
  2. It is a fun alternative to just getting takeaway or preparing food at home.
  3. Customers would have very little cleaning to do afterwards.
How it works
Customers can pick a meal from a set menu and place an order. A delivery driver will the bring them a container holding all the ingredients, all the equipment (apart from an oven perhaps) and detailed instructions on preparing the meal. (Such a service could be paired with video tutorials where a cheff takes you through preparing the dish step by step)
Afterwards (perhaps the following morning), a driver goes around collecting all the containers with the dirty equipment, cutlery and plates and returns them to the company for cleaning and inspection. (A deposit can be added to the price of each meal, or it could be paid as a once off deposit for as long as a customer wants to make use of the service).
I believe this idea could be especially good for catering companies who already have storage and a lot of equipment, but it could also be done as a standalone startup business.
The main attraction, in my opinion, would be dishes that require specialized equipment that an average person might not have in the kitchen, but, there is a possibility that simply being able to cook/bake without having to clean up afterwards would be appealing enough, in which case the dishes on offer can be regular favourites, instead of only exotic, intricate dishes.
This would be especially popular among people who would like to try something new in the kitchen but do not want to invest in all of the equipment needed or find the exotic ingredients required.
There are already a number of companies that send kits containing the ingredients you need to make a certain meal, but I have not seen any that include the equipment and allow customers to send back the dirty dishes.

Subash Chapagain I checked out HelloFresh. It seems to only do ingredients. I mentioned that there are companies who deliver all the ingredients to a meal, but I haven't heard of any that provides the equipment and cutlery and then return to collect the dirty utensils as well. Does the HelloFresh you mentioned do something like this?

Spook Louw You are right. They don't supply cutleries and all, they supply the ingredients and suggest some recipes accordingly.
