An AI that analyzes a piece of text and separates the main story from the author's ego-driven backstory.
Why?
  • A tool that separates the signal from noise.
  • Teach people how to read between the lines and what to look for.
  • Teach writers to keep our egos in check.
How it works
You copy and paste a piece of text into a website's text editor and submit it. GPT3-like AI analyzes the text and extracts the author's ego - the "me" part that is infused in the text.
The software then strips away the main story and pieces together the backstory that focuses on the author. It rewrites it to clearly express what the author wanted to convey about themselves.
The main story and backstory are then shown separately.

I wonder if there are companies or freelancers who provide this service already? I think it might be popular and necessary even without the AI technology.

I can see the value in this. Also, I think it restricts creativity. When writers feel a system is going to check their ego, they're more likely to keep it in check. That's when the writing loses the writer's soul. You want the writer's raw content, not the filtered stuff.

Goran Radanovic I guess it depends on what you're reading. Business proposals, articles or information pieces are different from creative writing pieces, but often, they are written in a similar way. I think the AI that Darko Savic is suggesting is meant to simply remove the noise and present users with the crux of the information.

Spook Louw a way to remove the agenda from the story. A counter-marketing solution.

Darko Savic Yeah, I can see how it would be effective for press releases and such writing. Usually, when someone mentions an author and a story, I default to fiction writing.
