Come up with an idea how to braid pigtails for little girls so that they don't have to cry of pain. This is really quite a unpleasant or even painful procedure, especially for sensitive chidren.

The braids have to be tight to look good. Because they are tight, the hair is under constant tension. This causes pain. So the trick is to release the tightness by a millimeter.
Place a comb or a kitchen fork on the skin and braid over it. In the end, pull out the comb. This loosens the beginning of the braid by a millimeter or less. It should be enough to release the tension/pain but not as much as to make the braids look bad/loose. If it doesn't release enough tension, use a thicker comb.
