An online platform where people who have been through certain situations help people who are currently going through similar situations navigate them.
Know that you are not the first to experience something and be inspired by the fact that others have conquered similar obstacles.
Access to the collective knowledge of other people who have been through similar situations, including their strategies for success and lessons from failure.
Sometimes, we find ourselves in situations that are unfamiliar and at a loss on how to navigate them. In such instances, many of us would panic, which might result in decisions that will put us in more trouble.
With this platform, you can type an overview of what problem you are currently facing. Based on what area of expertise people filled in when signing up on the platform (relationships, startups, finance, biotechnology), the platform's algorithm brings up the problem on their feed. Then, people who have had similar experiences will indicate on the post after which everybody will be added to a private room. There, they can share how they successfully navigated such situations, the failures they had, and so on.
The person who posted the problem can ask questions and seek further advise depending on how the situation unfolds. The problems can be anything, like heartbreak, how to navigate work politics, how to survive a bad, ruinous investment decision, and so on.
Think of the platform as an instant messaging version of Quora that is strictly for problem-solving.
Also, I'm not sure which is better: that the platform's users maintain their anonymity or that they register with their profiles.
