Print the customs declaration on the back of the boarding pass instead of having it as a separate form.
Why?
Save a lot of paper that otherwise goes to waste.
Convenience for everyone involved.
How it works
No one reads the 'Helsinki agreement' that is currently printed on the back of the boarding pass. Instead, why don't we print the customs declaration form at the back of the boarding pass? Depending on the passenger destination, the software should be able to print the form for the relevant entry country. 
The 'Helsinki declaration' can be part of the online booking process. This will save a lot of paper as well as eliminate the hassle of carrying around another form for international passengers. The boarding pass is not needed once one deplanes at the destination anyway. It also saves the hassle of writing the carrier, flight number, etc., since it appears on the boarding pass.

I agree printing the customs declaration on the backside of the boarding pass would be a convenient way to save paper. However, boarding passes are small and I am not sure all the information could be fitted on them without making them too small to be readable. 
On the other hand, digital boarding passes with QR codes are being used a lot. Why customs declaration couldn't be a simple QR code which you show on your smartphone? It saves a lot more paper.
In that way, if you really want it printed, you could print small papers, which would be 1/4th of the current boarding pass format, which could have both QR codes on if needed.

agreed in principle but the developing world countries may not have the capability/tools/software/algorithms to recognize/implement yet (or ever).
