The idea is to create a website/system that generates a weekly meal plan, inclusive of recipes, shopping lists, and task schedules.
Meal planners already exist. I guess this idea counts as a significantly improved version.
What problem does this solve?
It's the most efficient and personalized way to feed yourself without having to spend any brainpower on food.
How it works
On the website, you limit the results with constraints such as:
how many meals per day and at what time to schedule them
what you do/don't eat (vegan, vegetarian, keto, paleo, etc)
how much time you are willing to invest in the preparation of each meal (less for breakfast than for lunch). Less time means simpler meals.
how much money you are willing to spend per meal or per day
what ingredients you can/can't get locally
limit by calories per meal or per day
what household appliances you have/don't have (no fridge, no microwave, no stove, etc)
Once you have configured your constraints and set the number of days, the website outputs a detailed blueprint of to-do's regarding your nutrition for the next week. This includes what ingredients to buy and when to do it so that they are still fresh when you need them. The system tries to save you time where ever possible. All the chores are bundled together in batches so as to minimize unnecessary repetitive actions.
When the weekly menu is generated you can review it and replace any meals that you don't like. The system would automatically generate a substitute.
The prices of ingredients differ a lot from country to country. Everyone can set their own prices for frequently bought ingredients. The system can then display approximate prices based on what other users in your country configured.
A growing database of recipes
People can add recipes to the database. Each recipe gets examined by moderators to make sure that all the data is accurate (calories, approximate cost of ingredients, classification based on diet restraints, etc)
If you crave a kind of cuisine, the app can then suggest options from that cuisine. The ingredients will change accordingly.
If you have guests on certain days of the week, you could feed in the number of people having lunch/ dinner, and then the app could calculate the required amounts of ingredients based on that.
Diabetics and those having specific allergies and contra-indications could state the foods/ ingredients that are poisonous to them and those dishes will be filtered out.
Outsource the food preparation

If you can afford it, such a meal plan could be handed over to someone that is paid to get it done for you.
The generated plan tells them exactly what needs to be done, every step of the way.
Membership: prepaid "smart" meal plans for the whole week or month

It would be cool if your idea is also able to work as an independent, automatic meal management service.
In the background, the software calculates how much food you approximately eat, what is fresh and available, what you like and would like to eat, how often do you want to eat, etc.
In the foreground, you just pay a weekly/monthly membership, fill the questionnaire and enjoy food every day.. Food gets delivered to the desired location, even more times in a day and you don't have to worry about a thing. Fresh, delicious, and exactly what you like.
