A watch or a bracelet that alerts (via a preprogrammed audio message) the person asking you personal questions or inappropriate topics you wish not to discuss.
Why?
  • Avoid lying or the awkwardness of telling someone what you don't want to discuss
  • Saves you the irritation of answering the same questions family intrude with
  • A funny alert message makes the person laugh and helps you transition to a new topic
How it works
You connect the watch/bracelet to a computer, then type the questions and topics you want to avoid. When a person mentions the question/topic you want to avoid, the device matches it to the database and alerts the person via a preprogrammed audio message.
You can program a standard message such as, "Goran feels that's too personal" Or you can allocate a response for each question. If someone asks you about your income, the message can be, "Goran doesn't want you to know how poor he is."
A funny message avoids tension that would've existed had you told someone they're intruding in your privacy.
How else could you use this device?

If the person insists that you answer questions you want to avoid, maybe the device fake calls you. You avoid the question by excusing yourself to attend the fake phone call.

Shubhankar Kulkarni Could work, but that to me is equivalent to lying. Might as well tell the truth without saying it.

A newly met person might not get the point, they'd laugh at it, but they might continue questioning you and they might continue exactly because the device set the atmosphere for it. Then they'd ask what kind of device is this, what it is for, is this for real, etc. And you'd still have to explain everything:)

Povilas S Explaining the device is a perfect way to deflect from the personal question. It's a way to tell them to back off without being rude. You'll feel less awkward telling them that it's a device to alert people of the things you don't want to discuss than to mind their business.

I like how it could make an awkward moment funny. I would add the option to select your own message based on the situation, in case the algorithm fails. Have a few recorded messages as you said and then select on the device which one you want to play right now. It would have to be very easy, let's say 3 taps on your watch so that people would actually use it.
