This concept works via web and mobile applications. The idea is for the creation of a dedicated online service where movie fans can vote on certain aspects that the producers provide. Ideally, this should be managed so that it doesn't hamper the director's creativity.

Producers can ask people who they think is the best actor for a role from a shortlist of people they have interviewed. To aid people's decision, they should provide a couple of casting videos and a detailed description of what the perfect actor should look like.
With this service, fans can vote on which direction they want a story to go. If you are a Bridgerton fan, then you know the third season will focus on Colin and Penelope's love story. When this was announced, many fans raised objections. This concept will give fans the power to choose which characters the next season should focus on. They can do the same for the Fast and Furious franchise and Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible series.
Fans can vote on movie locations, etc.
When people have a say in how things go, it is natural to expect them to want to see how their ideas pan out. This guarantees that such a movie/show will perform well. Besides, the volume of interest people show in a scheduled movie can give an idea on how it will perform, thereby enabling studios and producers to gauge audience interest.
