Distribution
A social network where people go to be verbally abused and abuse others.
Why?
  • Building resilience by desensitizing oneself to painful words
  • Gamified sadism
How it works
A slack-like online chat where people can talk in groups or privately.
Everyone has a pseudonym profile where they reveal their insecurities, etc.
People can block each other.
Spam, phishing, scams are not allowed. Verbal abuse is ok.
People gain points when someone admits that something they said really hurt. There is a "painful upvote" function which they use to grant the other person "mean points".

Interesting idea, it reminds me of reddit forums such as r/Roast me!

I like the originality of the idea, the proposed platform could fulfill the need of those who like to engage in humiliation battles by becoming their "legal" playground, but the negative aspect of this is that it might contribute to multiplying negativity in society, so I have mixed feelings about it. Should those who like to humiliate others have their own playground for this or should they instead get their s*it together?

All moral and ethical considerations aside, this platform could be a training ground for roastmasters and stand-up comedians.
