How would such a system work?
Also this:
Dunbar's number is a suggested cognitive limit to the number of people with whom one can maintain stable social relationships—relationships in which an individual knows who each person is and how each person relates to every other person.

[1]Dunbar, R. I. M. (1992). "Neocortex size as a constraint on group size in primates". Journal of Human Evolution. 22 (6): 469–493. doi:10.1016/0047-2484(92)90081-J.

Dragan Otasevic Agreed. To further strengthen your point, you can maintain the 150 stable relationships when the 150 people know each other, too. So, it should basically be like a closed group or community where interference from other people in the world is limited and the number - 150 does not change significantly (due to migration, death, births, etc.) over a significant period.
In the current idea, the people who understand and get you might not be geographically in the same location and, hence, the closed community structure is not possible here. However, I like the idea Martin Nenov of an AI matching you with people who are extremely probable to be your friends and your go-to people to share your problems. They are like your security blanket. Even if the world does not get you, you have at least a few people to share your personal stuff with. However, 1000 friends seems unrealistic and also, too much to handle by a person. I suggest starting with 5 friends to build that close circle. The AI should try and match you with people staying close to you as much as possible. This has applications in therapy and related conditions.

Martin Nenov I read your system of randomly juxtaposing two things and coming up with new ideas/solutions and it sounds interesting and feasible. It could also easily fit into this session. People would surely benefit from this point of view :)
What I am interested in is the same as what Dragan Otasevic asked - what is your proposition here? You listed it as an idea, and it seems like a good one, but could you put it in a few simple words for people to understand better what exactly you want.
  • Do you suggest a platform or a service?
  • How would you connect people that think alike?
  • How would you test if your model is successfully matching people and starts "best friendships" or it fails sometimes?
I think this platform provides the productive environment that could train your, as you said, "pattern recognition" skills and make you start random "juxting". Do you agree or do you think something is still missing?
