Participating in a competition similar to the creative endurance prize sounds like the ultimate test at the end of such a course.

An easier version would be to list ALL of your stashed ideas to clear your buffer, then not use any of those. From that point on, come up with one new idea per day and share it with your group (or publicly) to receive feedback and keep yourself accountable to show up daily.

A chapter on habits, routines, and rules, inspired by multiple known highly creative people. A few examples:

Octavia Estelle Butler had three rules for herself:
  1. Don't leave your home without a notebook, paper scraps, something to write with.
  2. Don't walk into the world without your eyes and ears focused and open.
  3. Don't make excuses about what you don't have or what you would do if you did, use that energy to "find a way, make a way."
Jerry Seinfeld is full of useful rules he made for himself. Here's one example video from 39:10 to 40:00. And another from 11:58 to 18:45)

People who think for a living may have a difficult time shutting down at the end of the day.

Transcendental meditation comes highly recommended by prolific creative people like Seinfeld.

Being creative on a daily basis is equivalent to mental athletics. An athlete has to keep an optimal diet, sleep, training-to-relaxation balance, etc. People that rely on the performance of their creativity should do the same.

So a section about upkeep and servicing of the creative machine.

IMHO presenting ideas is a different type of work than ideas generating. Of course, it is valuable, but there may be different people interested specifically in marketing and selling of ideas, but not ideas generating.

Mikhail Korsanov I was thinking about something like this to be a part of such a course for ideators. Structuring your thoughts helps immensely even if you just save them for yourself. If you share/brainstorm them with others you have to be efficient at transferring information. Otherwise, people will just skip it. Nowadays everyone is busy. Attention is in short supply.

Darko Savic Structuring thoughts is good, however, professional presenting and "selling" ideas is a different, more advanced thing. So, there may be 2 courses: basic one and advanced one :)

A course for overcoming built-in natural biases, prejudices, fears, and other negative emotions. This allows to boost creativity. I have such a system. It allows to solve 40-80 emotional problems per month spending 15-60 minutes a day for training. Also, it allows to find problems and enlist them.

There is a number of techniques allowing to get new ideas. Some of them mobilize brain itself, others open it to outer space of the world field of ideas. Some allow to get ideas from Higher Level invisible entities, including God Himself. I can teach all these techniques to open a genius in any person. Before mastering them, one has to mainly clear his mind and soul from negative emotions and internal conflicts. Otherwise, applying of these higher level techniques may destabilize emotional state, including acute psychosis in some cases.
