While this idea could be implemented as an independent online platform, it could also be a feature of Brainstorming.com. It's a variant of this idea only done online and without a middleman/agency. Anyone could assemble their own problem-solving dream team (think tank). The team creator pays every ideator a monthly retainer fee and thereby keeps them available and engaged in every challenge that is presented to them.
The concept boils down to:
A way for ideators to demonstrate their exceptional abilities. A portfolio of their original ideas. This helps clients find suitable ideators. It also helps ideators justify their retainer fees.
An online platform where ideators can remotely collaborate on solving their client's problems.
A feature that let's anyone create private (or public) think tanks and invite specific ideators to join. To keep the ideators active and engaged, everyone on the team is paid a retainer fee for the duration their services are needed.
